If you
don't know the name, you should! This guy is good! I may be a bit
biased but I would place him in any top 10 drummers list and I thought
that before I actually met the guy so it's not totally biased. Before I
met him I had no idea who he was but I knew he was good. Most of the
time drummers are the unsung heroes, think about it, everyone knows the
singers and the guitarists and but ask someone the drummers
name (and a close second are bassists) and most of the time you
get a blank stare.
I love
watching a good drummer, they seem to get into it more then the other
musicians and when they're good it's a sight to behold. If a drummer
can take my attention away from the singer then he's good and this guy
did just that. I got talking to him after a show and he was a really
nice guy too, which is always nice to see. I've been to a couple shows
since and he's always glad to see me. I got curious one night and
googled him to see what else he'd done and was surprised to find out
all he'd done! He was considered a child podigy and played with Arlo,
Adonis, Trip and I'm guessing a lot more I haven't discovered yet.
You'd never know all this by talking with him, he is the picture of
modesty! Right now he is still drumming with Pearcy and also in a band
called The Garden Spiders. I think he also plays with Anti-Division at
times.
Also
found an interesting entry in wikipedia that referred to him
entertaining on the street corner in the 70's (whaaa? The guy was born
in '71?? Guess he really is a child prdigy!) and that he ran in 1984
Junior olymics! Now thats diversity!
